Our love grew stronger with no problems. February came and we had so many plans for the lovers day but on the 10th, My friends keep asking me about Kejie until I was tired. "Ok fine, Vera is my girlfriend! I told them. "O boy this guy go catch another babe, Larry said. "Who be Vera? Fred asked. "Vera is Kejie, you was told her native name. I'm in love with her and no game is involved in this please, I gently said to them while they watched me with their mouth open. "Which kind talk be that? Marcus asked. "Wait ooo wetin u just talk now? Say you love ashawo? Fred asked. "I beg your pardon? I shouted getting on my feet. "This is my girlfriend I'm talking about here, I love her and there's nothing you can do about it, I said and stormed out of the house. I went home straight, switched off my phone, thinking so hard until I fell asleep.
I woke up hearing a loud knock on my door, I rushed to open it to see Kejie standing before me with a sad look, "Love why? I asked her concerned but she pushed me aside. "So all this while, I was just a bet huh?, she asked with a serious look. "I don't understand, what do you mean?, I asked drawing close to her. "Please spare me that Ik, I should I've known I was only a simple bet You had with your friends, she said and a tear dropped. "Who told you this? I said afraid. "So it's true then?, she asked this time with tears flowing freely. I fell on my knees, "No please, let me explain, it's not what you think.... "It's over IK! She interrupted me and ran out from the house.. I was mad and confused at the same time. "So Fred told vera about the bet or game we had?, I thought to my self and left the house angrily.
I stormed into the apartment with my eyes red, Desmond saw me first and jumped on his feet because of my devilish look. I went straight to Fred holding his collar fiercely, "what did you tell Vera? I shouted with tears coming out which I couldn't control. Fred kept looking at me like I have gone mad, my friends came to hold me which I struggled pushing anyone who held me. But they overpowered me and threw me on the bed forcefully, I attempted to stand up but they fell on me holding me down. "calm down will you! Patrick shouted on me. "Calm down huh, when you all have destroyed me, who told Vera about the bet! I asked no one in particular. "Just because we had a little disagreement this morning doesn't mean we told her anything, Larry said. "Lies! Why should it be the same day I told you guys about my relationship with her. I thought I have friends, I'm so disappointed! I pushed them away and ran out of the apartment, then drove to Vera place but her place was locked. I asked her neighbours about her but they told me they saw her left with a travelling bag. I thanked them, went into my car and tried her number countless times but it was switched off.
