Episode 10.

I wasn't paying attention to what the lecturer was teaching, I took my phone and texted Mary to meet me somewhere. I left the lecture room and met with Mary, "wetin happen? She asked me. "I met Ikpeme and he asked of Vera, I replied. "What did you say to him? She asked. "That Vera is not with me, I replied. "What! You know Vera is not good at all and you're pushing him away from her, she said in an angry tone. "I know but I want to tell you something. I've been admiring Ikpeme for a long time now and I wanted him for myself. Marcus, one of IK friend met me and we had a deal that he will have Vera while I will go for IK. But it's a waste of time now because IK is deeply inlove with Vera. What is not mine can never be mine, I explained with tears streaming out of my eyes. "Oh I see, she said folding her arms. "Is that why you keep encouraging her to forget about IK? Why are so wicked Blessing? You've been seeing your childhood friend dying slowly when you're busy thinking of Taking her lover for yourself, Mary shouted.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong but I have to get them back together. Please don't tell Vera about this I beg you, I pleaded. "Fine! After the lectures, we'll go home together and we'll make sure we settle them, Mary said. "Thank you so much, I feel so relieved now, but Mary just left me there which I understood she was still angry.

VERA POV

"How will the valentine be nau? I asked IK. "How do you want it to be huh? He asked naughtily and winked at me. I understood what he meant and hit him slowly. "Stop nau, so where will you take me to, I asked seriously." Hmmm I think you won't like it, he replied. "But why? I asked. "Hmmmm, ok I want to tell you something I've never told anyone before and that's because you're so special, he Said looking into my eyes. "Dear what's that? I asked. "We'll go to the orphanage, that's because I was picked up there, he dropped and I felt like crying for him. "What! So that's not your real family? I asked. "Yea, they had no children of their own. But after they picked me, two years later they started having their own kids. But I still remain their first born and I'm glad they picked me instead, he said. "Fine! We'll go together then, I said holding his hands. "Swthrt are you sure about that? He asked. "Why not. Where ever you go, I'll go with you, you know that will be fun, I Said and he kissed me tenderly.
The knock on the door brought me back from my thoughts, I cleaned my tears and sluggishly opened the door for my friends. "Crying again? They all asked. I smiled weakly and sat on the bed not able to stop the tears flowing. "Tomorrow is VALENTINE right? I asked them sadly but they just stood looking at me with a pity look.
