MY VALENTINE
Episode 8.

I was coming thru Crutech gate when I heard someone called my name, I stopped and he came closer to me. "Hi, good afternoon, he greeted. "Afternoon, you called me right? I asked. "Yea, do you know me?, he asked. "Nah I don't, I replied. "Can we sit somewhere and talk? He asked. "Sorry, I'm actually going to see my..... "Boyfriend!, he interrupted. "Oh good you know, I replied. "Does he really love you so much?, he asked. "I beg ya pardon? I replied harshly. "No calm down, I actually know him very well. Ik right? He Said. "Who are you? And what do you want? I asked more angry. "I won't tell you but there's something you need to know. Ik doesn't love you but you're only a mere bet he made with his friends on Nene birthday party. If you think I'm lying, go ask him yourself. He said and walked away from me leaving me weak and confused.
I went straight to my friends place but I only met one of them which is Blessing. I told her about the encounter I had with the guy and what he told me about IK. She was angry to hear me say I was dating but I didn't tell her which I apologised for that. "Has he ever shown you to his friends?, she asked. "No, it's just us, I replied. "Do you have his pix? She asked, I nodded and quickly opened my gallery showing her the pix we snapped together. "Ohhhhh IK, she said collecting my phone. "I know his friends very very well, infact, one of his friends dated chinwe which he recently broke up with her, she replied. "Wait wait wait, do you mean his friends are players and IK is among? I mean, is this bet thing true? I asked all at once with my heart beating fast. "Actually Chinwe invited them to Nene party, so it's possible, she dropped but I couldn't still believe it. "No! That's not true, I don't believe it! Ik is different and he can never do that to me, I shouted holding my head so it won't fall off. "Ok fine, I'll suggest you go ask him yourself. Maybe he'll be truthful, she replied me and I ran off to IK place praying it shouldn't be true.
But I was wrong, it was damn true! When I left IK place, I picked some of my stuff to my friends place because I wasn't sure what I might do to myself. I met my two friends there and they were all surprised to see me with a dejected look and a travelling bag. "What happened? Mary stood up after Blessing opened the door for me. I wanted saying something but I was lost of words. I was just left with the option of crying, and wishing if only it was a nightmare.
Mary cuddled me until I slept off. The next morning I woke up with my head pounding. Mary walked up to me and noticed my eyes already watery. "Hmmm, Blessing Told me what happened, and seeing your look, I must say you truly loved him, she said to me. "But What did my love do? I can't believe IK could do this to me, I said not able to stop the tears. "Put yourself together ok, it's not the end of the world. I know you gat lecture today and I don't want to hear I'm not going today, she said. "No please I don't want to go today, I just want to be alone, I pleaded. "Ok, I've prepared breakfast and Promise me before we return, you'll be alright, she said. "Sorry I can't promise you that, I said and turned my back on her.
